This is a chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg) seasoning that can be easily cooked in the microwave (or steamer) using just one egg.
The authentic soup stock uses grilled chin, bonito flakes, sardines, and shiitake mushrooms. The ingredients include shrimp, mitsuba leaves, and shiitake mushrooms.

Storage Instructions: Keep in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

How to use: 

  1.  Beat 1 egg thoroughly and evenly.
  2. Add "Chawanmushi no moto" to 130ml of water and mix, then add the beaten egg and mix again.
  3.  Pour 2 evenly into 2 heat-resistant containers and steam (or microwave).

Microwave: Cover the cup with plastic wrap, make several holes with a toothpick, and place 2 containers in the microwave to heat.
200W - 7mins
500W - 3mins
600W - 2mins 20 seconds

Steamer: Place 2 cups in the steamer, high heat for 2 minutes, then on low heat for 10 minutes.
